This is a fabulous vintage 1970s mens mod coat made in Italy for Brisson & Brisson of Montreal. The piece is made in a double breasted trench style of a high quality, very soft, cotton velvet. It has a "Napoleonic" collar that does up with two sets of hooks at the neck and high lapels. The shoulders are raglan, the sleeves have adjustable belts at the cuff, the shoulders have button down epaulets, and the waist cinches with a matching velvet belt. It has a button down slash pocket built into either side. It has a long, three button kick pleat at the back. The coat is lined in quilted satin fabric. The coat still has its "Sigillo di Garanza" seal affixed to the chain at the neck - this is a guarantee of authenticity.

Brisson & Brisson was an exclusive men's clothing boutique located in Montreal that closed some 20 years ago. It was favored by Canadian business and political elite and Prime Minister Pierre Elliot Trudeau was a regular customer there - Trudeau was quite the fashion plate in his prime, just look at some photos of him during the 60s and 70s. Brisson & Brisson carried high-end private label fashion that was contracted to manufacturers of exclusive brands. Anything that you bought at Brisson & Brisson was of exceptional quality. I'm unsure of who precisely made this, but it definitely was a high-end Italy manufacturer.

It is in excellent condition, still with its seal affixed, I don't think that this was used, or if it was, it was only used once or twice.
